Glendora, CA - Freshman Catcher Richie Roseli hit a bases-loaded walk-off double on Thursday afternoon to give Citrus College a 9-8 victory over Glendale and a 4-0 regular season sweep of the Vaqueros.

The Citrus pitching struggled all afternoon, allowing six earned runs on 14 hits. Starter Steven Streety got run from the game in the fourth inning. Citrus trailed 8-6 when reliever Chris Magallanez (4-2) came in during the sixth inning. He shut down a Vaquero rally and went on to allow just one hit over the final three innings to pick up the victory.
Citrus trailed 8-7 heading into their final three outs, but they took advantage of Glen Warters, who came out of the bullpen to try and get the save. Luis Hernandez led off the inning with a single and Michael Gonzalez followed with a sacrifice bunt attempt. The throw went to second base but took a bad hop giving the owls two runner on with no outs. Eddie Crespo followed, dropping a drag-bunt down the third base line for a single, loading the bases. After a strikeout from Justin Fellhauer, Roseli came up and knocked the first pitch he saw past the drawn in left and centerfielders for the winning RBIs.
Crespo finished the game batting 4-for-5 with an RBI and one run. Roseli added three RBI and Gonzalez scored twice. Citrus (19-17, 11-7 Western State Conference) will be back in action as they play host to LA Valley at 1:00 pm.
