    San Bernardino Valley, CA (Baseball) -- The Citrus College baseball team went on the road and overcame five unearned runs in the opening inning of their game at San Bernardino Valley College, and freshman shorts stop Charles Ball 3 for 3 with 4 runs scored in an 11-7 victory for the Fighting Owls.

    Trailing by five runs early on, Citrus picked up three runs in the top of the third, and after San Bernardino got another run in the bottom of the same inning, five more in the sixth to take the lead. The Fighting Owls got two more in the seventh and another in the eights for their 11 runs.

    Sophomore Scott McKeen would pitch five strong innings in relief, striking out six batters, give up zero hits, and earning his first victory of the season. With the win, Citrus improves to 2-0 on the young season. The Fighting Owls will are on the road this Saturday as they travel to take on Mt. San Jacinto College. First pitch is set for 12:00 PM.
