Glendora, CA (Cross Country) -- The Citrus College women’s cross country team made their first appearance in the 2009 Southern California Coaches Poll. The Lady Owls are ranked #13th in the latest poll put out by gocollegetrack.com.
Led by sophomores Vanessa Esquivel and Cynthia Acedo as well as freshman Melissa Granados, the Lady Owls are off to their best start in recent memory. Citrus recently finished 14th at the Fresno Invitational, with Esquivel, Granados, and Acedo all placing in the Top 60 individual runners.
The Lady Owls will hit the ground running again this Saturday as it heads down the 5 Freeway to participate in the Orange Coast Classic hosted by #1 Orange Coast College this Saturday. The first race is scheduled for a 10:00 AM start
