San Diego, CA (Cross Country) -- Citrus College Cross Country’s lone representative at the Southern California Championships season came to a close on Saturday afternoon. Freshman Michael Guajardo represented Citrus well at Mission Bay Park in San Diego, finishing 153rd out of 207.

Glendale, CA (Cross Country) -- Freshman Michael Guajardo will be the Citrus College Cross Country program’s lone representative at this year’s Southern California Championships. Guajardo advances to the SoCals after his performance yesterday at the Western State Conference Championships in which he took 56th place.

Glendora, CA (Cross Country) -- Throughout the 2010 season, the Citrus College Men’s Cross Country team has been led by Michael Guajardo and Santiago Meza who have been battling back and forth for the top spot on the Citrus squad. After beating him two weeks ago at the Foothill Invite, Meza beat Guajardo again this week at the Mt. SAC Invite, as he was the first Fighting Owls to cross the finish line.

San Diego, CA (Cross Country) -- The Citrus College Cross Country team participated at the Southern California Preview hosted at Mission Bay Park in San Diego on Saturday. Freshman Michael Guajardo and Gabriela Ortiz took their usual spots at the front of the pack, finishing first for the men and women.

Ontario, CA (Cross Country) -- On an afternoon in which eight Citrus College Cross Country runners posted personal records, freshman men’s runner Santiago Meza was the highlight by being the first men’s runner to cross the finish line and shave over a minute off his previous best effort at the Foothill Invitational on Friday.

Oxnard, CA (Cross Country) -- Freshmen Gabriela Ortiz and Michael Guajardo led the Citrus effort at Friday’s WSC Preview. Ortiz crossed the finish line in 65th place, while Guajardo finished in 70th place the best efforts for Citrus’ men’s and women’s team.

Costa Mesa, CA (Cross Country) -- The Citrus College Cross Country team continues to improve as the 2010 season wears on. Six out of nine women and eight of ten men posted personal records at the Orange Coast College Classic on Saturday afternoon.

Fresno, CA (Cross Country) -- In what was possibly a State Championship preview, the Citrus College cross country team participated in the Fresno Invitational this past weekend against the top programs in the State. The Fighting Owls came away from this weekend’s meet with a lot of improvement despite finishing 17th on the women’s and 23rd on the men’s side.

Ventura, CA (Cross Country) -- The 2010 Citrus Cross Country schedule got kicked off on Friday afternoon when the Fighting Owls participated in the Ventura Invitational. The Men finished 12th in the event, while the women took 10th.

Glendora, CA (Cross Country) -- Current Citrus College Head Track and Field Coach Nicki Shaw has been tabbed to take over the Citrus College Cross Country program.
