Norwalk, CA (Football) -- Citrus College turned the ball over four times, including two interceptions that were returned for touchdowns, in their 17-42 loss to Cerritos College on Saturday night. The Falcons dominated play throughout the game, allowing Citrus to score just two touchdowns, both coming late in the fourth quarter.

Cerritos would set the tone early, opening up the game with a 14 play 99 yard drive. The Falcons would follow that up with two interception returns for touchdowns, one from 16 yards out and the other from 49 yards out, and a 94 yard drive to take an early 28-3 lead. Citrus' lone score in the first half would come thanks to a 32 yard field goal by Kyle Eden.
After Citrus' defense stopped Cerritos in the third, the Falcons finally put the last nail in the coffin, with a 31-yard touchdown pass from Jeffrey Fischer to Mario Miller to open the fourth. The Fighting Owls two touchdowns in the fourth quarter came when the game was out of reach, the first on a 25-yard TD reception from Adolph Overstreet and a 1-yard TD plunge from Mishaun Marshall.
In the loss, Citrus was led by Overstreet, who hauled in six catches for 96 yards and one TD, and Nick Augustyn who recorded nine tackles, including two sacks, three tackles for a loss, and two quarterback hurries. With the loss, Citrus record falls to 1-6 overall and 0-3 in National Conference Central Division play.
