Glendora, CA (Football) -- Freshman corner back Kevin Puckett Jr. was named the Central Conference Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in Citrus’ game against Mt. SAC on Saturday. Puckett picked off two passes, broke up another two, and led the game with nine tackles (eight solo).
A 5 foot 11 inch 160 pounder, Puckett hails from Garey High School in Pomona. Puckett is leading the team in interceptions with three overall, and is currently fifth on the team with 23 tackles.
You can catch Puckett and the rest of the Fighting Owls this Saturday as they play host to #3 Cerritos College. Kick-off is set for 1:00 PM.
