Owls Continue to Soar; Move to Third in SoCal 

Glendora, CA (Men's Basketball) -- The Citrus College men's basketball program continues to break program records, as it came in at number three in the latest Southern California Coaches Poll, the highest ever ranking for the men's program. The Owls also grabbed their highest ever state ranking at number five.

The Owls are off to a record setting pace thus far in 2007, as they have jumped out to the fastest start in program history going 13-1 over its first 14 games. Citrus is fresh off a third place finish in the toughest tournament of the pre-season, as they participated in the Wells Fargo Holiday Classic hosted by Riverside City College this past weekend.

The 16-team tournament featured six teams in the most recent top 15. The Owls posted wins over #2 Fullerton and #13 Desert, with their lone loss coming in the semi-finals to #1 Antelope Valley.

Citrus' next contest comes this weekend as they travel to Oceanside, CA to take on Mira Costa College. Tip-off is set for 7:00 PM this Saturday December 15th.
