Win Forever

Our Citrus Basketball Family will say different things as we break the huddle - i.e. - "family", "stay humble - stay hungry", "defend to win", "men of march", but lately it has been "Win Forever".  We spent a day in the classroom trying to further define what "win forever" truly means.  "Win Forever" is not about winning basketball games or a suggestion that we will not be beaten again, but rather a commitment to excellence on an individual, team and family level.  "Win Forever" is getting to your morning class after a long bus ride home the night before. "Win Forever" is focusing on relationships rather than results and statistics.  "Win Forever" is embracing adversity and never making excuses.  "Win Forever" is never being afraid that your best won't be good enough.  "Win Forever" is about winning everyday - not just on Wednesday and Saturday nights.

The concept of "Win Forever" has helped our team to fight the anxiety and pressure that typically sets in with any group that is growing increasingly closer to reaching their goals.  "Win Forever" reminds that there will always be goals and dreams that we are chasing, but it is really the way we approach our pursuit and the character of our chase that will define our legacy.
