Moorpark, CA - Despite beating second-place Santa Barbara in the morning round, Citrus went 1-11 at the Western State Conference Championship on Monday and finished the season in seventh place.
The Owls shot 394 in the AM tournament, lead by a trio of 78's, and it was good enough to defeat a 397 from Santa Barbara. College of the Canyons (52-8) ran away with the conference title this season, posting a 9-3 score at the championship while holding an average lead of eight strokes over their closest rival. Bakersfield won the championship tournament, however, claiming the low score in both rounds for a 12-0 day.
Santa Barbara (39-21) finished second and Citrus brought up the rear with a 6-54 final record.
