Glendora, CA - It was Kyle Mendoza's turn to lead the Owls as Citrus took fifth place in the Western State Conference opening tournament, hosted by Ventura at the Saticoy Country Club. Mendoza shot a 76, taking fifth place overall.
The Owls shot a 413 as a team and missed out on the tie-breaker for fourth place. They were five strokes back from third-place finisher Allan Hancock. San Bernardino won the event with an even 400 score.
