Santa Barbara, CA (Men's Golf) -- The Citrus College men's golf team continued to improve its season standings as Kyle Mendoza, James Acosta, and Matt Peich each shot a team high 80 at Alisal Ranch Monday afternoon.
Eric Soliz and Brett McCollum rounded out Citrus' top 5 scores Monday, by shooting a 84 and 86 respectively. As a whole the Fighting Owls shot a 410 just ten strokes off the 5th place Moorpark. The 410 was good enough to place Citrus in 6th place in the conference match.
While the Fighting Owls have finished in 6th place the last 4 conference matches, only 8 strokes separate the Fighting Owls from the 4th place spot on overall conference averages. Citrus will be on the road next Monday April 2, for a neutral site WSC tournament at the SCGA Golf Course in Murrieta, CA. Tee-time is at 10:00 AM.
