Bakersfield, CA (Men's Golf) -- For the third time in four weeks, the Citrus College men's golf team finished sixth at a WSC Event. The Fighting Owls shot a team round of 392 at Rio Bravo Country Club, beating out Allan Hancock and Glendale College in the process.
Steve Whoolery and Perrie Garcia both shot a four-over par round of 76 on Monday. Whoolery and Garcia were followed closely by Sanshiro Kato, who has come on as of late, who shot a seven-over par 79. Brett Lemster and Colin Bennett rounded out the bottom two scores, with rounds of 80 and 81 respectively.
With the conclusion of Monday's match, the Fighting Owls have finished out their regular season conference matches. Citrus will play one final non-conference match with College of the Desert on Thursday and Friday, before participating in the WSC Championships hosted by Bakersfield College on Monday April 28th.
