Moorpark, CA (Men's Golf) -- For the second week in a row the Fighting Owls men's golf team has come through with a strong showing, finishing a promising fifth at the WSC Match hosted by Moorpark College. Citrus shot a season low team round of 384 and finished just 14 strokes off the overall lead.
Freshman Perrie Garcia matched his season low round of 73 on Monday as he shot one over par at Tierra Rejada Golf Club. It was the second time Garcia shot a 73, the first came three weeks ago at the WSC Event hosted by the Owls. Finishing right behind Garcia was Brett Lemster who had his strongest outing of the season yet, with a four over par 76, and rounding out the top three scores was Colin Bennett who came into the clubhouse with a six over par 78.
Citrus will take a break from WSC competition over the next week and half, as they host a match with Victor Valley College and Riverside City College on Wednesday, before participating in the Canyons Invitational on Monday March 17th.
