Men's Golf Impressive in Home Hosted Match 

Glendora, CA (Men's Golf) -- The Citrus College men's golf team picked up their best finish of the year as they took fourth place in the WSC Match they hosted at Glendora Country Club. Freshman Perrie Garcia shot a low round of 73 in the match, the second lowest score of any golfer in Monday's round.

While Garcia came into the clubhouse with his best round of the year, the other Fighting Owls weren't far behind. Steve Whoolery had the second best round of any Citrus golfer that day with a round of 80, with Colin Bennet finishing one stroke behind him with an 81.

The combined team score of 399 was 9 strokes better then their previous conference performance at the WSC event hosted by Canyons College. Citrus also finished just four strokes off the third place finisher, Ventura College who posted a team score of 395.

The Fighting Owls will try to continue the momentum picked up in Monday's match, with another conference match next monday hosted by Santa Barbara College. The match, which will be held at Alisal Country Club, will tee off at 10:00 AM.
