San Jacinto, CA (Men's Golf) -- The Citrus College men's golf team struggled on Monday afternoon, finishing in last place at the WSC Neutral Site event at Soboba Springs Country Club, home of the 2008 Southern California Golf Championships. The Fighting Owls shot a team round of 410, the same round as last week when the Fighting Owls finished in 6th place.
Steve Whoolery had the low round for Citrus on Monday afternoon. Whoolery came into the clubhouse with a six over par round of 78. Sanshiro Kato put forth his best effort of the season, as he had the second lowest round of the day (the first time he has done so all year) with an eight over par 80 through 18 holes. Rounding out the rest of the scores were Jeff Allen, Perrie Garcia, and Colin Bennett who all finished their day with a round of 84.
The Owls will be back on the WSC circuit next week as it travels to Ventura College for a WSC Event at Saticoy Country Club. Tee-time is set for 10:00 AM.
