Santa Barbara, CA (Men's Golf) -- A week after finishing in fourth place at the WSC match hosted by Citrus, the Fighting Owls men's golf team finished a disappointing seventh place in Monday's WSC match hosted by Santa Barbara City College.
Sophomore Colin Bennett had the low score in the clubhouse as he shot a five over par 72 at Alisal Ranch Country Club. Steve Whoolery and Perrie Garcia finished just behind him with Whoolery shooting a six over par 78 and Garcia a low round of 82.
Citrus' total team score of 404 was the seventh best score out of the eight teams participating. The Fighting Owls finished 14 strokes ahead of Glendale and 16 strokes behind sixth place Allan Hancock.
The team will be back on the road next Monday as it travels to Glendale to participate in the WSC match hosted by Glendale College at Oakmont Country Club. Tee-time is set for 10:00 AM.
