Citrus Season Comes to End With Loss to LA Mission 

Pablo Acosta got off 1 of Citrus' 2 shots on goalGlendora, CA (Men’s Soccer) – The 2006 season for Citrus College’s men’s soccer team came to an end Friday evening, as they fell 0-7 to Los Angeles Mission College. LA Mission defeated the Owl’s in ever single category, and proved to be too much to handle for Citrus.

The Eagles struck first, and didn’t relent until the game ended. Amado Valente scored the first goal off a Jose Romero assist. Valente then went on to assist the next three goals, all scored by Erick Blanco. Going in to half-time the Eagles led 4-0.

The Owl’s were dominated in every facet only mustering 3 shots on goal the entire game. The Owl’s were also only to get off 8 shots their entire time on the pitch.

Oscar Garcia scored the Eagles next goal in the 2nd half, and followed his goal up with an assist to Gerardo Bravo who would score the final two goals of the evening to put LA Mission up 7-0.

The Eagles rattle off a total of 31 shots including 17 shots on goal against a porous Owl’s defense. LA Mission also saw 7 corner kicks, compared to 2 for Citrus.

With the loss the Owl’s finish their season at 2-16-2 overall and 1-12-1 in conference play.
