Men's Water Polo -- The 2006 Citrus College Men’s Water Polo suffered two losses on Saturday September 30, 2006 at the Mini-Tournament they hosted. First up for the Owls was Riverside Community College, who the Owls beat earlier in the year at the Ventura College Tournament.

Gamal Rady Advances the ball for the OwlsThis time around the Owls were on the other side as they lost 3-11. Gamal Rady, Douglas Moore, and Conner Ruggio had one goal apiece in the lost. Goalie Tony Pearson had 10 saves on the day.

In their second match the Owls looked better but still fell short to Grossmont College7-9. This is the second time the Owls lost to Grossmont as they lost 10-12 earlier in the season at the Venutra Tournament. The Owls were led by Conner Ruggio who had 3 points in the loss. Douglas Moore also chipped in with 2 goals, while Ken Kalinisan and Ricardo Carrilo each had a goal apiece. The Owls were tied at 7-7 going into the 4th quarter but just couldn’t pull out the victory.

With the losses the Owls fall to 3-9 on the season. Next up for the Owls will be a trip to fellow WSC member Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo this Thursday October 5th for a 3:00 pm game.
