Glendora, CA (Softball) -- Sophomore outfielder Caitlin Tolan became the first Lady Owl to verbally commit to an NCAA Division I school under head coach Jackie Boxley. This past week Tolan verbally committed to Central Arkansas.
"Caitlin has played a big role in our success the past two seasons, and I know she will continue in that success as she moves on to the next level," Boxley said. Tolan, who is batting .320 in her career at Citrus, will leave Citrus after this season as one of the top home-run hitters in Citrus history with 10 home-runs to her name.
With 4 regular season games left, Tolan figures to play a pivotal role in the Lady Owls post-season push. The Lady Owls have posted their first 30+ regular season campaign, and will look to make a run deep into the post-season. The Lady Owls finish their regular season game with 3 out of their 4 final games at home, starting with a 2:30 p.m. match-up with non-conference foe Chaffey College on Tuesday April 17.
