    Corrigan Continues With Pueblo

    Tuesday, June 02, 2009

Glendora, CA (Softball) -- Sophomore Ashley Corrigan has signed a scholarship offer with Colorado State University Pueblo. Corrigan, who appeared in 22 games for the Lady Owls batting .231 and posting a .362 on-base percentage, looks to bolster a Thunder Wolf squad that appeared in the NCAA Division II Central Regionals.

“I really wanted to get out of the state, and go somewhere different from California. The coaching staff has been really nice and want me to contribute to their team” Corrigan said. “These past two years at Citrus have been a real eye opener for me. They’ve showed me how tough it is at the next level. They have made me better and prepared to me to compete going forward.”

“This is a great opportunity for Ashley, and shows that her dedication and work ethic both paid off,” Citrus College Head Coach Jackie Boxley said. “Pueblo is getting an authentic woman that will do whatever it takes for the team to be successful. Ashley is a true leader with great skills that will be incredibly successful at whatever she does in life.”
