Huntington Beach, CA (Softball) -- The Citrus College Softball team kicked off their 2012 season on Wednesday afternoon. The Owls came back home from the beach with a split, losing to Golden West 5-4 and beating San Diego Mesa 9-5.Full article »

Glendora, CA (Softball) -- The Citrus College Softball program returns just three players from last year’s playoff bound squad that nearly upset the 2011 State Champs in the opening round of the playoffs. A Note From Head Coach Jackie Boxley
This weekend, this group of young ladies truly made me proud. The way they played, with so much emotion and fight, I really thought we were going to come out ahead and win the battle. Unfortunately, someone has to win and ultimately someone must lose so I tip my hat to the Chargers of Cypress. They are the state champions for a reason, and this weekend was a fun, hard fought battle by two teams, best of luck to them as they go for a repeat.Full article »

Cypress, CA (Softball) -- The Citrus College Softball team had nothing to be ashamed about when their season came to a close in the third and deciding game of the first round of the 2011 CCCAA Softball Playoffs. The Lady Owls went toe to toe with the defending State Champion Cypress College Chargers. Citrus forced a game three after winning the opening game of the day 7-1, before falling in a hard fought 9-6 loss in the last game of the series.Full article »
