13 Citrus Athletes Qualify for WSC Finals 

Glendora, CA (Track and Field) - Thirteen Citrus College track and field athletes have qualified for the Western States Conference Finals coming up this Saturday Aprl 28 at Bakersfield College. Along with the 13, two athletes have already qualified for the SoCal Finals in San Diego starting May 5th.

Rachel Raper and Tarynn Meyers are the two athletes to qualify for the SoCal Finals. Raper's who is currently in 2nd in the WSC for the hammer throw has qualifiied in that same event, while qualifying for the WSC Finals in three other events (Discus, Shot-Put, Javelin).

Meyers on the other hand has qualified for the SoCal Finals in two events and the WSC FInals in a third. Meyers who is currently in 1st and 2nd place in the WSC in the 100m and 200m respectively, quaified for both those events for the SoCal finals along with a 400m qualification at the WSC finals.

The other athletes who qualified for the WSC Finals still have a shot at the SoCal Finals by placing in the top 6 for the conference finals. Start time for the conference finals will be at 2:00 PM.
