Walnut, CA (Track and Field) -- The 2009 Citrus College Track and Field season came to a close this past weekend at the Southern California Regional Finals. The Fighting Owls had two participants, Christopher Pope in the High Jump and Daro Johnson in the Triple Jump.
After finishing in fourth place last week at the SoCal Prelims, Pope finished in 8th place at the Finals. Pope cleared a height of six feet five inches and just missed a berth in the State Championships. Johnson followed up last weeks personal best performances with another 10th place finish, this time with a distance of 44 feet and 6.75 inches.
