Glendora, CA (Volleyball) -- Sophomore libero Mackenzie Pike headlined the post-season awards for the Citrus College volleyball team. Pike garnered 1st team All-WSC honors, and was the only Lady Owl to do so this season. Pike recorded a conference high 478 digs this season, and finished third in the state in digs per game, averaging 6.55 digs per game.
Also earning all-conference honors was a pair of freshman, Daisy Llamas and Natalie Bailey, who both were named 2nd team All-WSC honorees. Llamas led the Lady Owls with 70 blocks (29 solo, 41 assisted) and was secondo on the team with 110 kills, while Bailey posted team highs in kills (120) and kill percentage (.255).
Rounding out the conference honors was freshman Emily Allaway and sophomore Becca Dean. Both Allaway and Dean earned All-WSC Honorable Mention honors. Allaway finished the 2008 season with 49 kills (4th on the team) and 21 aces (4th on the team). As for Dean, she finished her Citrus career as one of the most complete players on the team, finishing in the top four in six differente statistical categories, including kills (94, 3rd), blocks (16, 4th), and digs (123, 2nd).
