Negative Reaction 

Glendora, CA (Volleyball) -- The Citrus College volleyball team had their worst hitting game of the season on Thursday evening. The Lady Owls posted a -.026 percent the worst kill percentage of the season for Citrus in a three set loss to Glendale College 25-17, 25-16, and 25-19.

Glendale jumped out on Citrus early breaking free from a 5-5 tie thanks to three straight errors by the Lady Owls. From then on it was all Vaqueros as they cruised to a 25-17 win.

In the second frame Citrus scored the first three points thanks to back to back kills by Danica Lawrence, but after Glendale broke a 10-10 tie they went on to score 15 of the next 21 points for a nine point victory.

In the third and final set Citrus would show some signs of life taking a 17-13 lead after another Lawrence kill. From that point on Glendale went on a 12-2 run and took the third set 25-19.

In the loss, Citrus was led by Lindsey Mitchell who recorded a team high nine kills, while Tatiana Quiocho recorded a game high 23 digs. With the loss, Citrus falls to 6-12 overall and 4-6 in WSC South play, while Glendale improves to 12-9 overall and 8-3 in conference play.

The Lady Owls have just one home conference game left on their 2009 schedule when they play host to Canyons College on Tuesday evening. Game time is set for 7:00 PM.
