Things got worse before the got better and with just 9:52 remaining Citrus trailed by 19 points, 54-35. Soon the Owls would go on a 25-5 run, capped off by a Jenny Sirk three-pointer with just over a minute to play as Ventura led 63-59. McKena Richardson helped to ice the win for the Pirates, however, hitting 7-of-8 free throws down the stretch. Richardson finished the game with 27 points, leading all scorers.
