Glendora, CA (Women’s Basketball) -- After posting impressive wins over state ranked teams Antelope Valley and Orange Coast, and near misses against teams in the top 15 like LA City, Mt. SAC, Rio Hondo, and Chaffey, the Citrus College women’s basketball team has returned to the State Top 20, checking in at #15 in the latest California Community College Women’s Basketball Association State Coaches Poll.
After popping up in the Southern California poll at #14 last week, the Lady Owls moved to #11 in the South and into the State poll for the first time since the 2004-2005 season. On February 7th, 2005 the Lady Owls were ranked #14 in the State with a 19-6 overall record, their highest ranking in recent memory. Citrus would finish the regular season with the programs first Western State Conference Championship and a #18 in the state ranking.
You can catch the 15th ranked team in the State this Wednesday when they play host to Barstow College (6-6) at Mt. San Antonio College. Tip-off is set for 5:00 PM.
