Glendora, CA (Women's Basketball) -- Citrus College freshman sophomore Shateah West was named the Western State Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week this week. It is the first time West has been given the honor.
West, a five foot seven inch forward out of Monrovia High School, earned player of the week honors thanks to a career game against visiting Victor Valley College last Saturday. In that contest West scored a career high 30 points and ripped down a game high 14 rebounds in Citrus’ 74-38 victory over the Rams. On the season, West is averaging 19 points and 7 rebound per game.
You can catch West and the rest of the Lady Owls at home this week, as they host a home game against Mira Costa College on Saturday. Tip-off is set for 6:00 PM.
