Youth has been the theme with the 2006 Citrus College Women’s Golf team, with all four players being first time players. The youth is quickly turning into maturity as for the 
second straight week, 3 players have improved their scoring, and one in particular demolished their previous efforts.
Jill Caldwell once again led all Lady Owls at the Rancho Santa Margarita Golf Course shooting a 116, but that wasn’t the story of the day, as Patty Beard (left) throttled her previous personal best score by 15 shots shooting an impressive 138. Vanessa Smith improved as well, shooting a 126. While Alyssa Beuster didn’t improve her score, she did maintain and shot a very respectable 129. When all was said and done the Owls combined score was a 519 good enough for a 4th place finish out of 6 in the Western States Conference Event.
The Lady Owls will continue to build upon their momentum when they travel north to Bakersfield next week for the next stop on the WSC circuit. The ladies will tee off at 10:00 am.
