Women's Golf -- The 2006 Citrus College Women’s Golf Team got their best performance yesterday when all of the players improved their personal best scores. Not only did everyone improve but they shattered their previous best team score of 519 by 56 strokes to shoot a 463 on the course.
Alyssa Beuster (left) led the trend improving by 19 strokes shooting a 110 for the course. Jill Caldwell was once again the leader in the club house with a 93, 11 strokes better then her previous personal best score. Patty Beard picked up right where she left off improving by another 6 strokes with a 132. Over the last two weeks Beard has improved her score by 21 strokes. Vanessa Smith rounded out the trend improving by 4 strokes to shoot a 128.
“I am very proud of our women's golf team they have worked very hard and continue to show improvement with every match,” said Assistant Coach Virginia Gonzalez. Next up for the Lady Owls is the match they will host for the WSC at Diamond Bar GC. “We have our toughest courses to play ahead of us in the next weeks. We host at Diamond Bar GC and our next two WSC matches will be held at TPC Valencia and Wood Ranch,” Gonzalez said. “These courses will be challenging not just to our new lady owl golfers but to all WSC lady golfers.”
