Bakersfield, CA (Women's Golf) -- Sophomore Caitlin Smith had her best individual finish of the season, finishing in 5th place at the WSC event hosted by Bakersfield College. Smith tore up the Links at Riverlakes Golf Course to the tune of a 10 over par 82, finishing just three strokes behind the top finisher of the day.
While Smith put together one of her strongest performances of the year, it didn't help much in the team standings as the Lady Owls failed to score, with only three golfers on hand for Monday's match. Along with Smith were Rachel Vago, who shot a respectable 94, and Kate Dahle, who came into the clubhouse with a score of 120.
The Lady Owls will take this next week off, and then resume play on Monday October 15th when they play host to the Western State Conference for a match at San Dimas Canyon Golf Course. Tee-time is set for 10:00 AM.
