Ventura, CA (Women’s Golf) -- The Citrus College Women’s Golf team saw their 2011 season come to a close earlier this week. The Lady Owls, led by sophomore Janae Macias, finished fifth out of the five competing teams in the 2011 Western State Conference Championships.

San Marcos, CA (Women’s Golf) -- The Citrus College Women’s Golf team shot a combined 464 on Monday at the WSC Neutral Site event. The Lady Owls finished fifth out of the five teams and were paced by sophomore Janae Macias’ 105.

Arcadia, CA (Women’s Golf) -- Sophomore Janae Macias was the low scorer for the Citrus College Women’s Golf team at the WSC Event hosted by Glendale College on Monday afternoon. Macias came into the clubhouse with a 111.

Simi Valley, CA (Women’s Golf) -- Citrus College freshman Deondra Alcantara had one of her best rounds of the 2011 season on Monday afternoon. Alcantara shots five strokes better than the last WSC Event which was her previous season low.

San Dimas, CA (Women’s Golf) -- The Citrus College Women’s Golf team played host to the rest of the Western State Conference on Wednesday afternoon and had their best overall showing of the year. The Lady Owls had two players shoot season best scores, including freshman Hannah Thurston who saw a 23 shot improvement over her previous best effort.

Bakersfield, CA (Women’s Golf) -- Citrus College sophomore Janae Macias led the Citrus effort at Monday’s Western State Conference Event hosted by Bakersfield College at Riverlakes Golf Course. Macias shot a team best 103.

Santa Barbara, CA (Women’s Golf) -- After a week’s hiatus, the Citrus College Women’s Golf team returned to the links on Monday afternoon at the WSC Event hosted by Santa Barbara City College. It turned out to be a struggle for the Lady Owls, as they finished fifth with a team score of 478.

Ventura, CA (Women’s Golf) -- The Citrus College Women’s Golf team opened up their 2011 season at the South Coast Invitational this past weekend. The Lady Owls struggled a bit, finishing last out of the ten competing teams with a team two day score of 884.

Glendora, CA (Women’s Golf) -- The Citrus College Women’s Golf 2011 season is set to tee off this weekend at the South Coast Tournament in Ventura, CA. The Lady Owls will bring a little bit of experience to the course with two returners along with four new freshmen to round out the lineup. With more experience than usual, things are looking up for the Lady Owls’ golf program.
