Glendora, CA (Women’s Golf) -- Citrus College sophomore Rachel Vago shot back to back rounds of 81 and 91 at the WSC Championships this past weekend, good enough for a 12th place individual finish at the 2009 Finals.
The 12th place finish means that for the second year in a row, the Lady Owls will have a representative at the Southern California Regionals November 9-10th at Los Serranos Golf Course.
Bakersfield College took home the conference crown this weekend on the heels of Katherine James performance. James won the overall individual title to go along with her team title.
The Top 12 individuals and both Bakersfield and Santa Barbara will move on to the SoCal Finals this weekend to represent the WSC. The ladies will play 36 holes between the North and South Course in Chino Hills. From there the top two teams and top 12 individuals will move onto the State Championships that will take place the following weekend at Kings Country Club in Hanford, CA.
