Lancaster, CA (Women’s Soccer) -- The Citrus College Women’s Soccer team continued its hot start on Tuesday afternoon with a strong 3-0 win over Antelope Valley. Freshman Angela Castellanos powered the Lady Owls past AVC with two goals and an assist in the win.

It took a little while for the Lady Owls to get going, but once they did they didn’t look back. Castellanos connected with Kelsey Tucker for the first score of the game in the 46th minute. Six minutes later it was Castellanos’ turn to score an unassisted goal that gave Citrus a comfortable 2-0 lead. Castellanos would put the game on ice in the 63rd minute when she took a pass for freshman Jasmine Williams and put it in the back of the net to give Citrus their 3-0 advantage.

Citrus will take the field again on Friday at Oxnard College. Kick-off is set for 4:00 PM.
