California Licensed Vocational Nurses may apply to Citrus College for admission as a 30 Unit Option student. This option allows the LVN to complete 30 semester units beyond the VN curriculum. Courses include microbiology, physiology and nursing courses (VN to RN transition course and 2nd year nursing courses).
The student completing this option is qualified to take the examination for licensure as a registered nurse without earning the associate degree in nursing. Students in this option are advised that licensure under this program may not be recognized if the nurse later applies for licensure by endorsement in another state. Students interested in this option should see the nursing counselor for additional information.
