Shelley Hahn

Shelley Hahn, instructor Shelley Hahn is a full-time Child Development professor at Citrus College. Ms. Hahn began her work at Citrus as an adjunct instructor and Coordinator of the Early Childhood Career Ladder Program. She was hired as full time faculty in 1999.

Ms. Hahn's educational experience includes obtaining her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, with special emphasis in Child Development and Ethnic and Women's Studies from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and her Master's Degree in Psychology, with special emphasis in Child Psychology and College Teaching from California State University, Los Angeles. Ms. Hahn has also taught Development Psychology classes at California State University, Los Angeles. Ms. Hahn has worked in a variety of different Early Childhood Education settings including being both an Aide and Preschool Teacher; a Child Development Specialist in a clinical setting for children with emotional disturbances and working as an Intervention Advisor in a public elementary school program.

Ms. Hahn has acquired additional experience with both children and adults through volunteering in such programs as the Baldy View Regional Occupations Child Care Program, The Center for Reentry and Transition at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and through service as the Volunteer Coordinator and Board President of the Claremont United Methodist Nursery School. In addition to teaching full time at Citrus in the Behavioral Sciences department, Ms. Hahn coordinates the Child Development Training Consortium Grant program for Citrus College. Ms. Hahn enjoys working with Citrus college students and members of the community. She dedicates herself to raising awareness, respect and knowledge of the professional field of Early Childhood Education.
