Labs
Labs meet Saturday mornings after lecture; some labs will be online or by arrangement. They are worth 50% of the available points. You will be given a time card to record lab time and failure to keep it up to date will cause a loss of 10% of your earned lab points. Lab assignments should be turned in on or before their due dates. Assignments more than 1 week late will be accepted but that assignment's earned points will be reduced by 20%.
Homework
Exercises from the textbook and online (see Blackboard) are assigned weekly, to be turned in the following week. These exercises are worth 10% of the available points.
Tests
Quizzes will be given during the class part of the class. The lowest quiz grade will be thrown out and the remainder will be averaged to calculate 5% of the total points. Missed quizzes can not be made up.
Two tests will be given. These tests will be worth 20% of the total points.
A final project and a final exam, covering the entire course, will together be worth 15% of the total possible points.
