Child Development Careers Program

The Child Development Careers Program (CDCP) is an accredited program for CalWORKS, GAIN, or TANF recipients interested in career opportunities in the field of child care. This full-time weekday program offers training and education for students in Early Childhood Education.  The program includes:Three children sitting on a mat

  • Hands-on work experience with children.
  • Child Development and General Education classes.
  • Preparation for entry-level and advanced positions.
  • A supportive learning environment.
  • Workshops, tutoring & supervised study.
  • Opportunities for on-site child care.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
  • TANF/CalWORKs Recipient
  • High school graduate (or able to obtain G.E.D.)
  • Must qualify for financial aid
  • Must pass fingerprint clearance through Community Care Licensing
  • U.S.Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • TB Test clearance
