Youth Empowerment Strategies for Success (YESS-LA)  The Foundation for California Community Colleges developed the new YESS-LA program and we are very pleased to be offering this program to qualifying foster youth referred to us by their social workers.  We recently completed our first year of training modules having graduated 109 foster youth from the program and we are currently scheduled for 5 upcoming modules for 2008-2009 fiscal year at Citrus College!  See our web page for more information.

Whole Family Foster Home (WFFH) & Shared Responsibility Plan (SRP) also known as SB500 Training.  A Whole Family Foster Home provides care for a teen parent and his/her non-dependent child and is specifically recruited and trained to assist the teen parent in developing the skills necessary to provide a safe, stable and permanent home.  A Shared Responsibility Plan is an agreement between the WFFH care provider and the teen parent as to the care and rearing of his/her non-dependent infant or child.  For more information, click here: Whole Family Foster Home (WFFH) & Shared Responsibility Plan (SRP) flier

Our goal is to maintain connections with all YESS participants and/or any foster youth who may be in need of assistance down the road.  YESS-LA provides us with the opportunity to assist foster youths with resources who currently attend Citrus College or reside in our local communities.

What's Changed?

Effective July 1, 2008, The San Gabriel Consortium is no longer offering training under the Statewide Independent Living Program (ILP-DS) now known as YESS-CA.
