On Campus Testing: Four required visits to the Testing Center OR use of a proctor off campus that has been approved by the instructor in advance of the testing period. Fees associated with the off campus proctor, if any, are the responsibility of the student (many college or university testing centers have imposed proctor fees for students and non-students who complete work that is not associated with their classes on campus - many Sylvan Learning Center locations also have a proctoring service that is based on a "fee for service" basis). |

Course Description: The history and philosophy of administration of justice in America; recapitulation of the system; identifying the various sub-systems; role expectations, and their inter-relationships; theories of crime, punishment, and rehabilitation; ethics, education and training for professionalism in the system.
Guests: As a guest, the course syllabus and schedule are available to view. However, you will not be able to access the course materials. To access the course materials for this class, you must be registered in the class and have a Blackboard account.
Student Expectations: To be successful in this class you should be a motivated self-starter who will review the materials, complete assignments in a timely manner and maintain weekly contact with the instructor and other class members. The Blackboard course management system. It is your responsibility to assure Blackboard access.
Add Policy:
I will accept students into the class during the first two weeks of the semester. Failure to complete your registration with the Admissions Office by September 11, 2009 will prevent you from adding the course. Students who have registered but fail to activate their Blackboard account by September 11, 2009 will be dropped from the class.
Registered Students: Blackboard is the online learning system used for many online courses at Citrus College. To log into Blackboard, follow the instructions below:
- Update email on WingSpan so it will transfer to Blackboard
- Your WingSpan ID becomes your Blackboard Username
- Your WingSpan PIN number (six digits only) becomes your Blackboard password
- To change these on Blackboard requires you change them on WingSpan
- Data will be transferred from WingSpan to Blackboard on a regular basis
Once you get to the welcome page, click on the Introduction to the Administration of Justice course link on the right, and you will go to the course site. Familiarize yourself with the course site and if you have any questions please email your instructor with your concerns. Get your textbook and get started with your initial assignments. A major key to your success in this course will be keeping up with both the reading and other assignments.
