    Welcome to Introduction to Business. You are either enrolled in, or you are interested in enrolling into this Introduction to Business (Distance Education) course. The course is a foundation to business administration, which includes such topics as finance, personnel, production, distribution, and management controls. It is a 3-unit course and it is transferable.

    Details regarding the course are set forth in the course web site (see below). When you go there, pay particular attention to the syllabus and the weekly assignment schedule.

    First check your email account. You will need to use your Official Citrus College issued email account. Your email is established when you are registered for classes. All instruction regarding the course will be sent to your Citrus email address, so you must have access to your email account prior to the start of the term.

    Blackboard and WingSpan Information

    • Your WingSpan ID becomes your Blackboard Username
    • Your WingSpan PIN (Personal Identification Number) becomes your Blackboard password
    • To change your PIN/password requires, change it in WingSpan
    • Data will be transferred from WingSpan to Blackboard on a regular basis

    Second, navigate to the Blackboard welcome page and click on the Introduction to Business course link on the right side of the page. Once there, familiarize yourself with the course site and feel free to email me if you have any questions or concerns.

    Third, make the arrangements to buy the required course materials: Business: Connecting Principles with Practice, 1st Edition, Nickels, McHugh and McHugh, McGraw-Hill

    Connect Access Code: Students are required to purchase a McGraw-Hill Connect Access Code. This code is bundled with all new books purchased from the Citrus Bookstore. It can also be purchased separately from the McGraw-Hill Website.
