Course Content: Developmental Psychology is a course that studies the theories of development throughout the life span. The course covers how the individual grows, physically, emotionally, cognitively and socially during each stage of life.

Requirements: There are five objective tests that the student takes at the college testing center. These tests account for 70% of your grade. There will be Discussion Board questions that each student must answer and also respond to other student answers. The student responses to the Discussion Board will account for 10% of your grade. Finally, a term paper as set forth in the syllabus will account for the remaining 20% of your grade.

Email Account: You will need to use your  Official Citrus College issued email account. Your email is established when you are registered for classes. You must have access to your email account prior to starting the class

Textbook: check with the Citrus College bookstore

Enrollment:
You must enroll in the class before being able to take tests and access the Discussion Board. The instructor cannot enroll you. If you are interested in enrolling please visit the enrollment site for more information or contact Admissions at (626) 914-8511.

Blackboard:
This is a Blackboard Learning Systems course (see below). Please review Getting Started and Blackboard Help, if you need assistance.

  • Your WingSpan ID becomes your Blackboard Username
  • Your WingSpan PIN (Personal Identification Number) becomes your Blackboard password
  • To change your PIN/password requires, change it in WingSpan
  • Data will be transferred from WingSpan to Blackboard on a regular basis

Once you get to the Blackboard welcome page, click on the Developmental Psychology course link on the right, and you will go to the course site. Familiarize yourself with the course site and if you have any questions please email your instructor with your concerns. Get your textbook and get started with your initial assignments. A major key to your success in this course will be keeping up with both the reading and other assignments.
