You are either enrolled in, or you are interested in possibly enrolling in Health Sciences 100 Distance Education class. As described in the class schedule, Health Occupations 100 is designed to provide the student with the knowledge and skills necessary to begin an entry-level career in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and other allied health-related fields of patient care. This course provides beginning concepts of preparatory sciences directly related to the care of sick and injured persons. It also covers basic knowledge and skills necessary for American Heart Association (AHA) cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification. Successful completion or concurrent enrollment in this course is required for enrollment into the Emergency Medical Technician Basic Program.

First, it is important that you send me an email. If you are enrolled in the class, please email me now. You will need to use your official Citrus College issued email account. Your email is established when you are registered for classes. You must have access to your email account prior to starting the class.

Once you get to the Blackboard welcome page, click on the Emergency Medical Services Career Preparation course link on the right, and you will go to the course site. Familiarize yourself with the course site and if you have any questions please email your instructor with your concerns. Get your textbook and get started with your initial assignments. A major key to your success in this course will be keeping up with both the reading and the other assignments.
