Finding Material in the Archives

The Citrus College Library Archives has website guides for many of its archival and manuscript collections. In addition, many collections have been cataloged in the Library Catalog.

Materials in the College Archives are non-circulating and must remain in the reading room.

Restrictions

Institutional records of Citrus College will normally remain closed for a period of 20 years from the date of their creation (the date on which each document was written). The opening date for files spanning several years will be 20 years from the most recent date. Access will be given to material already 20 years old contained within a collection that is not yet open when such material can be isolated from the rest of the collection.

Duplication and Reproduction

Photocopying can be arranged for most materials. Copies are $.20 per page and there is a limit of 50 copies per day per researcher. The staff reserves the right to withhold access or permission to photocopy for the protection of fragile or restricted items.

The archives can arrange for photographic reproductions of most materials in the archives. Researchers are responsible for duplication fees, production of copy negatives if necessary, permissions fees if applicable, and delivery fees. Researchers should contact John Thompson, Library Dean, to determine publication permissions fees.
