Citrus College Hosts Annual Water Awareness Day

WATER AWARENESS DAY (From left to right) Jim Glancy, director of Water Resources for the City of Lakewood and Laura Jimenez, senior field representative from Assemblyman Ed Hernandez’ office,  present Dr. Geraldine M. Perri, Citrus College superintendent/president, with a Certificate of Recognition acknowledging the Citrus College Water Technology Program.  Both Glancy and Jimenez were on campus as part of the 25th Annual Water Awareness Day, which was held earlier this month and provided 16 continuing education workshops for approximately 200 professionals in the water technology industry.

WATER AWARENESS DAY— (From left to right)  Dr. Irene Malmgren, Citrus College vice president of academic affairs, presented Citrus College Water Technology scholarships for $500 to Frances Romanello, Fernando Garcia, and John Guy during the 25th Annual Water Awareness Day recently held on campus.  As part of the event, approximately 200 professionals from the water technology field participated in a variety of continuing education workshops with topics ranging from water conservation in Southern California and irrigation to workforce planning and drinking water regulation.
