Citrus College Student Club Raises Funds for Foster Youth

FOSTER TO FAMOUS— Members of Citrus College’s new student club, Foster to Famous, attended the Project Homebound Walk/Run event hosted by the Peace 4 Kids organization last month in Long Beach.  The event, which was sponsored by corporations such as Disneyland and MySpace, was designed to raise funds for foster youth who are aging out of the system.

FOSTER TO FAMOUS— Members of Citrus College’s new student club, Foster to Famous, attended the Project Homebound Walk/Run event hosted by the Peace 4 Kids organization last month in Long Beach.  Each participant donated $30 and walked 2 ½ miles around Long Beach Harbor to help support the goal of eliminating homelessness among emancipated foster teens.
