Local Businesses Sign On As Sponsors for Citrus College Foundation Talent Show
By Stacy Armstrong

Many businesses and individuals are joining the effort to raise funds for Citrus College students.

Over 50 sponsors have signed on to support the Citrus College Foundation’s upcoming fundraiser and talent competition, Valley’s Got Talent.  This unique show will be held in the Haugh Performing Arts Center on Sunday, January 30 at 2 p.m.

Modeled after some of today’s most popular music programs, Valley’s Got Talent is designed to highlight the best amateur singers, dancers, musicians, and performers in the area.  Approximately 20 acts will perform and compete before an expected audience of 1,400 for a cash grand prize of $1,000.  The first runner-up will receive $500 in cash.

Foreign Language Services (FLS) International is the event’s sole platinum-level sponsor, having donated $7,500.  Additional donations have been made by gold-level sponsors Gary Gilde, HMC Architects, Pacific West Bank, and tBP Architecture who each donated $5,000; as well as silver-level sponsors Tom Gerfen, Michael Fay, and Pepsi Cola who donated $2,500.  Nineteen bronze-level sponsors have also contributed $1,000 each to the fundraiser.

Tickets for Valley’s Got Talent were recently reduced from $20 per person to $10 per person.  At the same time, there will be an opportunity drawing for a chance to win a 7-night stay at any Trading Places resort.  Opportunity drawing tickets are $20 apiece or 10 tickets for $100.
