Media Advisory –  Hayden Memorial Library Art Gallery to Showcase Citrus College’s Digital History

What:

The Citrus College Hayden Memorial library will display images and artifacts from local archive collages in the upcoming weeks.

The exhibit will feature digital reproductions of photos of life at Citrus College throughout its almost 100 year history.

A $5,000 Local History Grant was awarded to the Hayden Memorial Library staff to develop this project, which helps preserve and protect the history of Citrus College by digitizing photos and other memorabilia from the library’s archives.

When:
The Citrus College Digital Art Gallery Show is scheduled to run Feb. 27 through March 29 with a reception to be held on the evening of Thursday, March 8 at 6:00 p.m.

Where:          
The show will be held in the Library Art Gallery.

Why:              
More than 100 digital photographs, audio tapes, photo slides, and 3D memorabilia (some of which were donated for this show by the Glendora Historical Society, Azusa Public Library, and Citrus College alumni) will be on display to celebrate the college’s rich  history.
