Media Advisory – Photo and Interview Opportunity 

Citrus College Presents the Seventh Annual Veterans Celebration

Citrus College, Azusa Pacific University, the City of Glendora, and the City of Azusa present the seventh annual “Saluting Our Veterans” event.  This year’s celebration will include a performance by Gladstone High School’s Marching Band, an AMVETS Honor Guard, military exhibits, keynote speeches, community veteran honorees, and a patriotic musical tribute by Citrus College students.  All branches of the military will be represented.

In addition, there will be a presentation of an American flag from the USS Arizona by Commander Thomas W. Gerfen, former community veteran honoree and the current president of the Citrus College Foundation.

The following individuals/groups will attend:

·         Danya DeLeon, Keynote Speaker, Veteran, and Citrus College alumna

·         Chris Mellard, Keynote Speaker, Veteran, and Citrus College alumnus

·         Vicken “Vic” A. Bezjian, Community Veteran Honoree, Azusa Pacific University

·         Johnny Granados, Community Veteran Honoree, City of Azusa

·         Elizabeth Saucedo, Community Veteran Honoree, City of Glendora

This annual event is held to commemorate Veterans Day and honor the men and women who have served in our nation’s military.

The event is open to the public.  Parking is free.
