San Dimas resident Michael J. Clayton was recently appointed to the Citrus College Foundation Board of Directors.

Clayton, who serves as the Vice President/Senior Relationship Manager for Pacific Western Bank, joins a 23-member volunteer board which works to advance the non-profit organization.

“I believe that my financial background, dedication to the local community, and genuine desire to support the students of Citrus College will be beneficial,” Clayton said.

As a member of the Foundation’s Board of Directors, Clayton is tasked with nurturing relationships that provide resources to further Citrus College’s mission of advancing students’ educational goals.

“I hope to use my financial skills and contacts within the community to bring awareness and support to the college,” he said.

Clayton will be adding his new duties at Citrus College to a long list of community service activities.  In addition to serving on the Foundation’s Board of Directors, he is also a member of the boards at the San Gabriel Valley YMCA, Foothill Presbyterian Hospital Foundation, and EYE DAS Foundation.

“Michael is an excellent addition to our board of directors,” said Tom Gerfen, president of the Citrus College Foundation.  “His expertise and skill set will be extremely helpful as we strive to fulfill our mission of helping students succeed.”

Dr. Geraldine Perri, superintendent/president of Citrus College, a member of the Citrus College Foundation, looks forward to working closely with Clayton.

“Mr. Clayton’s impressive history of community service is admirable, while his passion for Citrus College and its students make him a good fit for the board of directors,” she said.  “Undoubtedly, his vision and enthusiasm will be valuable as we work together to accomplish the goals and objectives of the Foundation.”
